RF Buddy allows you to store and quickly retrieve radio frequencies for aviation radio stations, air-traffic control, aerodrome information services, etc. The application comes pre-loaded with over 500 UK aviation frequencies but you can easily add your own, modify the existing list and add notes. This app is particularly useful in conjunction with an airband scanner. When your scanner picks up a signal, start typing the frequency into the app to find the station name, ident and type. You can even use it to store the registration numbers of aircraft you monitor on your scanner. This app can be used to store frequencies and stations outside of the UK and even non-airband frequencies. You might find this app handy if you are an aviator and need a handy list of station frequencies if you do not fly with an aviation GPS that includes this. I add my en-route stations to my favourites list and refer to them when preparing my flight plan or in the cockpit. A great deal of time went in to compiling the pre-loaded frequency data, but we cannot guarantee that it is all correct. You use this data at your own risk. Please note that your iPhone, iPod or iPad device DOES NOT contain an airband radio receiver. You WILL NOT be able to listen to airband broadcasts with this app.
